Professional experience
O Charalambos Petras is a Psychologist specializing in Coaching Executives, Leaders, Artists and Athletes. With more than 16 years of experience, rich teaching and writing work, he is one of the founders of Coaching in Greece.
To date, he has collaborated with organizations and executives from the Pharmaceutical, Telecommunications, Shipping, Informatics, Commerce and Food Industry sectors. He has also collaborated with singers, painters, musicians, water sports champions and football players. He has been a postgraduate fellow of the National Hellenic Research Foundation and a partner of the Psychiatric Service of the Army where he was honored for his contribution to the staff.
He is a licensed psychologist, accredited by the International Coaching Federation, the European Mentoring & Coaching Council, a full member of the International Society for Coaching Psychology and the Association for Coaching.
It is author Two books on coaching. His last book The Art of Goals, Theory & Architecture of Pursuit, It is in the third edition and is published by the iWrite-Source editions.
Studies & Approach
He studied Anthropology, History & Psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She has been trained in Life Coaching, Organizational Coaching, Systemic Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Adult Education and the use (license to administer) of the Multiphase Personality Assessment Questionnaire MMPI-II.
He has developed an interdisciplinary and synthetic approach with influences from EMDR for Performance, modern Coaching, cognitive-behavioral, systemic, psychodynamic and existential approaches. Each intervention is unique as it is shaped based on the profile and needs of the coachee.
Charalambos works with people who want to achieve a higher level of performance, think creatively, develop new behaviors, connect with their archetypes, explore the unknown and mature through the achievement of their goals.
The Athens Coaching Institute
In 2009 he founded the Athens Coaching Institute with which he defined the training in Coaching in Greece and introduced the Greek public to the field of Coaching Psychology. The Institute has established itself as a leading professional training and certification body in Coaching in Greece & Cyprus and at the same time enjoys recognition and appreciation internationally.
The Institute hosts distinguished academics and professionals from Europe & America. And it stands out for the experiential nature of its programs and the high level of certification it provides.
Charalambos directs the Institute, designs programs for young professionals, tailor-made programs for businesses and organizations, designs and coordinates internal coaching departments of large multinationals. He teaches and provides mentoring / supervision sessions to young coaches & mentors.
